Do you need to learn how to prioritize? Figure out a way to take better care of yourself? Do you feel like you have no motivation or energy? Does it seem like there are too many things to take care of and not enough time? Most days do you wish you could just say “fuck it all” and just take a nap instead? If any or all of these ring a bell,  you just might be in the right place.

Let’s face it, being a woman is tough. We work, either in or out of the home. Most of us cook, clean, organize, meal plan, buy groceries, take care of our families, organize car pools, pay bills, and on top of that we are expected to eat healthy and find time to exercise. Let’s not even discuss how exponentially more difficult these things get as you enter your 30s and 40s.

I for one refuse to believe that this is what adulthood is supposed to be like. As women, we are just expected to do it all. Even if you are lucky enough to have a partner that helps out a lot, it can still feel very overwhelming at times.

Not complaining, but at the end of the day I am exhausted and rather than going for a run I just want to eat a bag of Oreos for dinner and wash it down with a bottle of merlot. I am not sure if those would taste good together, but I bet it would make everything feel better.

I am Genevieve the owner here at Brunch and Biceps. As I entered my mid to late 30’s I realized that I was over stressed and nowhere near where I thought I would be at my age. I always thought that by the time I had reached my 30’s everything would fall into place. Yet I woke up day after day and still didn’t have my shit together.

While dealing with the frustrations of infertility I suddenly wondered what would happen when I finally did get pregnant. How would I take care of a baby on top of my home, my relationship, my job I hated, my social obligations and most of all myself? I knew I had to figure out how to eliminate the imbalance that was causing me stress and start living the life I deserved and craved.

Brunch and Biceps is a place to help you create balance in your daily life. While being a woman in your 30’s and 40’s can sometimes seem overwhelming I can help you find ways to make each day a little easier.

I love sharing easy and healthy recipes made from whole foods, simple ways to improve your health and wellness, and organizational tips that will make life easier. I address real life issues that women in their 30’s and early 40’s are dealing with, and I have put together some of the best tips and tools that I have used to help create symmetry in my own life. Let’s create our balanced life together.

In case you were wondering, I enjoy a good bottle of champagne, puppy snuggles, game nights, and beach days. When I am not writing at Brunch and Biceps I can be found galavanting around Walt Disney World, writing about my Disney adventures, or catching up on Netflix with my favorite ginger (that would be my husband, not Prince Harry).
